How nice to have you here reading my article. Sit back and relax for a few minutes while I share some interesting facts about organic coffee – especially DECAF.
My goal is to give you a little information about what you may not realize is in your coffee – and may not want there. Similar problems exist with tea and other related food products consumed by us all on a daily basis – often in large bucket-sized quantities.
Did you know . . . there are thousands of articles emphasizing the health benefits of organic beverages and food products, specifically coffee, tea and milk? There are ongoing scientific reports, which continue to highlight these facts. However, what you don’t know can harm you over time causing many disturbing, and sometimes serious, unknown health issues. That’s why you should carefully consider the choices you make, and perhaps you will be convinced to make new, better choices.
Educating yourself and becoming aware of the contents of many non-organic beverages and foods can affect future buying decisions toward better, healthier products. Try selecting just a few drinks and/or foods, which you consume in large quantities and replace them with organic versions – then watch for a difference in your overall well-being. Following are just a few health issues you can noticeably lessen by making just minor changes:
Headaches,
Migraines,
Acid reflux,
Upset stomachs,
Disrupted sleep patterns
...and so much more.
Women, especially, can benefit from understanding how non-organics can affect the delicate balance needed for optimum health. We would love to have you try some of our Tropical Gourmet Coffees. They are organic, shade-grown, and free from harmful chemical farming. Coffee doesn’t have to cause you problems. When you begin to experience a noticeable difference, tell us your story. We would love to feature our customers in upcoming articles!
Now, let’s talk about Organic Coffee and, specifically . . . Decafs.
We don’t want to bore you with repeated facts and figures that have already been written – they can be obtained from numerous internet sites. However, it is interesting to note that the old myth about organic coffees being more expensive than coffee produced with chemicals and pesticides is now a thing of the past.
The range of Tropical Gourmet Coffees available from Coffee Island™ will be a nice surprise to your palette. We’ve developed gourmet organic Blends and Single Origins from all corners of the globe. Best of all, I’d like to tell you about our special nightcap coffee made from the Swiss Water® Processed Decafs.
Decaffeinated Coffee is the least understood by the average consumer. Many warnings have been given to individuals not to drink decafs because of the chemical contents of most decaffeinating processes. But consumers don’t know how many different types of decaffeinating processes there are. Some explanations have not clearly identified other products in the market which do not go through a chemical decaffeinating process such as Swiss Water® Decafs.
There is also an assumption that decafs lack flavor and taste, which have been supposedly removed with the decaffeination process. This couldn’t be further from the truth. There is a big difference in the way caffeine is extracted chemically versus naturally.
Two of the known chemicals used to extract the caffeine (from the bean you will soon grind and then drink if you consume ordinary decaffeinated coffees) are Methelyne Chloride and Ethyl Acetate.
There are businesses that chemically decaffeinate coffees, and then turn around and sell the residual caffeine to pharmaceutical and beverage companies for their use. Mmmmm sounds worrisome, doesn’t it?
After learning about these disturbing facts, Coffee Island® chose to only represent and supply you with the Swiss Water® Processed coffees. This process is certified organic, tastes great (like the coffee flavor has not left), and is 100% Chemical-Free, resulting in a healthier alternative for your mind and body.
We hope, in this limited space, we have brought some awareness about your favorite cuppa that may have been keeping you awake nights. We also invite you to visit the Swiss Water® website at www.swisswater.com and learn more about the natural way in which caffeine is extracted from our favorite beans.
Remember, decaffeinated coffee can have 100% natural taste, still be enjoyable and also give you a good night’s sleep.
